 ABOUT THE CHARTER HALL

The Charter Hall is situated in the centre of the historic and picturesque village of Smarden. The village, often referred to as the prettiest in Kent, is well served by local hostelries, with a range of accommodation; and is three miles from Headcorn, which is served by a frequent main-line train service to London.

The Smarden Charter Hall was completed in 2007, built to a high specification, with under floor heating and double glazing. The attractive Wealden design complements the special nature of Smarden’s conservation area. The Hall is equipped with outstanding facilities including a fully fitted commercial kitchen; a 5.5 metre x 12 metre Stage with state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems; Plasma TV; wireless broadband; conference and presentation equipment; disabled access; WCs and shower room; CCTV and intruder alarm systems and landscaped outside lawn areas looking out over open farmland.
